Membership Information

Membership in Richmond Woodturners is based on the calendar year (January–December). This means all memberships expire at the end of December, making it easy to know when dues are due—easy for you and easy for us.

If you’d like to join (and we hope you do!), you need to complete two steps:

Complete the Membership Application

Option 1: Submit the Application Online

Complete the online Membership Application.

Option 2: Print the Application and Bring It to a Meeting

If you are unable to complete the application online, you may:

1. Print the Membership Application.
2. Fill it out completely.
3. Bring it to the next meeting. When you arrive, ask anyone to direct you to the Treasurer or Membership Director.

Pay the Annual Membership Dues

Option 1: Pay with Cash or Check

• Individual Membership: $35.00
• Family Membership: $45.00  
• Student/Youth (Under 18): $15.00

Submit payment to the Treasurer or Membership Director at a meeting, or you may mail your check and Membership Application to:

Option 2: Pay with PayPal

You may choose to pay dues via PayPal for your convenience. (An additional $1.00 helps offset PayPal processing fees.)

If you are a detail-oriented person, feel free to read our bylaws.

Please consider also joining the American Association of Woodturners (AAW). This is not required unless you want to be an officer or give demonstrations at our meetings. By joining the AAW you receive 6 issues of the “American Woodturner” magazine (print and PDF) along with a huge resource directory, an incredible annual symposium, personal grant opportunities, third party liability protection, and much more. If you are the least bit serious about woodturing, it’s a no-brainer.
