Richmond Woodturners is a group of young and old who love wood and live to turn. We get together every month to have fun and share ideas and expertise with each other.
If it is your first time visiting us, read some of our past newsletters to prepare you for a fun and educational evening.
Exciting Upcoming Events
April 18, Richmond Woodturning Symposium—Not one, not two, but twelve demonstrations tonight! We will set up four stations around the shop and allow you 30 minutes to explore some of the interesting topics from our panel of demonstrators. We will have three of these 30-minute sessions so you can see and hear multiple demonstrations during the meeting.
Quarterly Turning Challenge
June 15, 2017—Turn anything where one piece fits into another (not permanently glued).
Local Turning Competition
April 20–22—Show everyone in Richmond what you can do on the lathe. Spindles and bowls, boxes and ornaments, pens and more—nearly everything is fair game for our annual competition for novices to masters! See the on the competition page for details.
